WHO WE ARE
KEVIN WILLIAMS
Founder/President
Pushing the Dream Foundation was founded in 2020 by Jamaican-born skateboarder Kevin Williams.
Skateboarding for Kevin started as a way to keep out of trouble in the streets of 1980s Detroit. Although he wasn't able to pursue the sport as much as he wanted to as a young boy, he more than makes up for it well into his 40s.
Known as Mr. Premium around skateboard communities, He has had his hand in several local skateboard projects; from teaching lessons at parks around Detroit to the build of Bishop DIY Skate Park.
Mr. Premium has made it his mission to encourage people of all ages to skateboard, just as much for wellness as they do for fun, and finding different adaptable ways to promote a healthy and positive lifestyle.
ZAKEA RICHARDSON
Executive Director/Co-Founder
As the Executive Director of Pushing The Dream Foundation, Zakea Shontel Richardson is passionate about creating sustainable opportunities that uplift individuals and empower communities. With a background in organizational development and a commitment to social impact, she leads the Foundation in its mission to support underrepresented and underserved communities through education, mentorship, and resource access.
Zakea brings a unique blend of creativity, leadership, and visionary thinking to her role, driving innovative programs and partnerships that foster personal and professional growth. A dynamic leader, she ensures that Pushing The Dream Foundation remains focused on making tangible, lasting change by developing pathways for success that are inclusive and equitable for all.
Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that every dream deserves a chance to be realized, and through her leadership, she is dedicated to pushing boundaries, creating opportunities, and inspiring others to reach their full potential.
